Jump Rope

So, I have been trying to stay in shape for soccer season next year. A few days ago I jumped rope. I had no idea how sore I was going to be the next few days. Man, that is hard work. If someone were able to jump nonstop for twenty minutes, they would be a monster.

I am relaxing for the most part until I head to Michigan in a little less than a month. I am really pretty scared and excited about going. Currently, I am just glad to be away from Lambuth. I was an academic marshal at graduation, and I think my main purpose was to be there so that they had somebody to blame if something went wrong. Luckily nothing did, but it was still a very frustrating experience. You would think if being a marshal were actually an honor that people would learn your name. That, however, was not the case. Both Lindsay Roe and I were called only by the name "Marshal." C'mon, that is a boy's name. I am glad that I earned the award of marshal, but was annoyed by how Lindsay and I were treated.

The Beautiful Game

So I just finished reading The Beautiful Game by Jonathan Littman. I am actually not completely sure why I finished the book. It jumped around too much for me to figure out what was going on. I guess the story was ok, but I felt like he spent more time trying to describe soccer in artistic terms than actually relaying events accurately. Basically these 14 year old girls are a soccer team that is forced to work hard and brought together because of it.

Sorry this post is just about a book. I will update on other stuff later.
